Juliet is on of Adam Raditz cousins. Her father was Raditz Mendeleev’s brother, Yanni, who was also a scientist living in their desert utopia.
She and another cousin, Pietro Mendeleev, decided to leave the compound and rejoin the rest of the world.
Equipped with sharp intellect, they made a name for themselves for their inventions. They linked up with former colleagues of their parents to develop the major UV shield, which could span entire cities to protect vampires from rays of sunlight while making no difference to humans.
This wasn’t a cure for vampirism, but coupled with the compulsion parasite, it allowed humans to use vampires as their servants and guardians.
After establishing a small fortune, the cousins returned to the desert to find out how their family was coming along with a cure, and determine if they needed to shut down the operation in order to ensure their own wealth…
But they found the complex had been replaced by a resplendent forest, and the only two beings there were Adam and Leeman.
Adam recognized them immediately, and was thrilled to finally be reunited with family.
The cousins considered killing them both so that they could destroy the underground research facility, but they quickly realized that they would be outmatched by a vampire and by a boy who had spent his whole life mastering guns. Adam showed off his amazing marksmanship, and Leeman demonstrated that he could use his vampiric powers, even in the daytime.
They decided to just bring the two back to their mansion in the city and deal with them in their own home territory.
