This character is Spider, from a BL (boyslove) story I made called Animals (working title).

A teenage delinquent escapes from jail and goes into a forbidden forest on the outskirts of town.

There he discovers a whole community of magical beings, eventually becoming one himself.

As he enters the forest, he falls off a cliff and actually dies– but he doesn’t know this. His spirit continues living inside the forest on borrowed time. Spider, the king of the forest (above) is keeping the kid alive using his own powerful magic. He keeps him locked in his cabin at the center of the woods, because if he tries to leave the forest, he will die.

But Spider doesn’t want the kid to stay out of fear. He decides that if the kid grows to love the forest as much as he does, then he will make him immortal. If the kid chooses to leave, then he will let him die.
