Hyacinthe

In the transt world, Hyacinthe is an organization of intergalactic misfits who each have a connection or vendetta against the evil entity known as Basilisk.

The group mostly consists of members from Mephis’ gang, when he was lord of the underworld in the city of Atlas.

After many years as a leader in the intergalactic black market, Basilisk discovered Mephis and launched an attack on his headquarters, kidnapping him in the process.

After being dispersed for several years, Nera discovered where Mephis was being held, and she contacted Pip to get the gang back together and go free him.

When James heard this news, he immediately volunteered for the rescue mission, willing to do anything in his power to harm or humiliate Basilisk. He was also hoping for any opportunity to free his lover, Miranda, who was still a prisoner of the organization.

James reached out to Leviathon, which he and Seth had a pretty vicious run-in with before, and a few psychics from their group (including 14) volunteered for the cause, if only to try and learn more about Basilisk and their intentions.

Together, the group amassed a small army of star ships and titled themselves Hyacinthe for the sake of group morale. They specifically chose a name that was not a monster like Leviathon or Basilisk, because their intention is peace not war.

Mephis was housed on a desolate planet on the near outer limits of the galaxy. After a battle that seemingly cost Basilisk more resources and scientists than it was worth, Hyacinthe succeeded in saving Mephis, whose body had been reduced to basically just a head after years of dissection.

It was then up to James, Nera, and Maddox to reconstruct and restore Mephis’ body, which they were glad to do because one could learn a lot by studying the work of Basilisk scientists.

After this battle, the psychics returned to Leviathon and agreed that they would work together with the others again, should the need arise in the future.

The former gang members went back to their respective lives, but also agreed to be on call.

Pip, James, Nera, Seth, and Mephis were the core members for a while, until Seth found a lead regarding Basilisk and went off to follow it on his own.

Cassandra (former gang member) and 14 remained in contact with them and would share any new information they came across.

Maddox left the group to raise a family, but was still on call.

Nera also left to pursue a “normal” life, but came back many years later to work with James as a member of the Royal House of Centuri.

Pip’s children became members by default, and when his son Ryan became friends with Jason, members of the Gingko family joined Hyacinthe as well.

When Jason had a child with the Empress, Hyacinthe came to encompass the Royal House of Centuri.
