Leviathan is an organization of psychics.

They began as a more sinister group of psychics who had grown up as outcasts and wanted to “save” other psychic children from that fate by kidnapping them from their families.

But with incoming generations, the model drastically changed. It was recognized that Leviathan was a good resource for psychics, but that forcing people to join did more harm than good.

Eliza was a troubled child and was brought in to Leviathan to save her from herself. To inspire the kids to train and improve control over their abilities, they were ranked ian a public heirarchy of ability.

Eliza was ranked 14 until a number of the top psychics went missing in what Leviathan believes was a plot by Basilisk to study and harness psychic power.

She then ranked 7, but kept the nickname 14. She has the ability to electricute people in close proximity.

When James and Seth are flagged for being associated with Basilisk, Leviathon brings them in for questioning (kidnaps them) and 14 interrogates them both. While Seth says nothing, James responds by trying to flirt with her, which she responds to by electricuting him… igniting a love/hate relationship that eventually results in a child named Trevor.

Trevor has no obvious psychic powers, but is very clever, and works to develop technologies that can enhance psychic abilities.

He later befriends Ariaa when she is sent to Leviathan for training. Trevor is secretly jealous of Ariaa because she got to know James when she was growing up, and he’d never met him before.
